Jim McReynolds has joined the Commercial segment of McNeilus Cos. Inc. as vice president of Sales, Marketing and Customer Support Services, based in Dodge Center, Minn. As McNeilus increases growth and penetration across all segments, he is charged with providing consistency and applying a customer-first approach to all sales, marketing and related support efforts. He will be responsible for driving customer engagement, product management, and marketing communications in the field and at centralized levels.
McReynolds arrives at McNeilus from Caterpillar Inc., where he most recently served as president of the Global Paving division, following tours of duty as Truck Engine division general manager and Construction and Mining Trucks product manager. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and master’s in business administration from the University of Missouri.
As the industry continues to improve, Besser Co. is strengthening its workforce. “In the past six months we have added new employees in all areas and now are focused on additional field sales and service support,” affirms CEO Kevin Curtis.
With over 30 years of sales experience, Terry McNamee has rejoined the Besser team, covering the Northeast alongside Randy VanSickle. McNamee was introduced to Besser while working in architectural products, beginning his career in 1982. Command Alkon has named Emily Branum general counsel. She was previously a partner in the Balch and Bingham, LLP Birmingham office, co-chairing the firm’s Corporate and Securities practice group, and representing some of Alabama’s largest companies in a variety of industries on corporate matters, acquisitions, divestitures, and intellectual property. Branum holds an undergraduate degree from Baylor University and a law degree from the University of Richmond.
Hamilton Kent has recently added to its sales team James Fuoco, territory manager for the Northeast U.S., Ontario, Quebec, and Maritime Provinces. He has over 10 years of sales experience, preceded by six years in quality assurance for a major precast producer in Quebec.
James Kane has been appointed chairman and chief executive officer of Pittsburgh Corning Corp., a global manufacturer of specialized insulation, Foamglas, and signature glass block products. He succeeds Phillip Martineau, who held the posts since 2005 and oversaw the Modified Third Amended Plan of Reorganization by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania in 2013, setting the stage for Pittsburgh Corning’s emergence from Chapter 11 proceedings tied to asbestos-related litigation.
Mack Trucks has named Stan Mikalonis vice president of National Accounts, leading a team responsible for a range of Class 8 vehicle market segments. Based at the Mack World Headquarters in Greensboro, N.C., he succeeds Mike Reardon, who has transitioned to vice president, Western Region, replacing the retiring John Thomas.
Prior to joining Mack, Mikalonis served in a variety of leadership roles at heavy-duty OEM and dealer operations. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida, a master’s degree from the University of Phoenix and a doctorate degree from Capella University.
Carbon dioxide-based concrete curing specialist CarbonCure Technologies has appointed as director former Block USA President and past National Concrete Masonry Association Chairman Bill Holden. “His knowledge and connections span international markets and multiple concrete segments including masonry, ready mix, aggregates, landscape products and machinery,” notes Robert Niven, chief executive officer of Halifax, N.S.-based CarbonCure. “[We] both see the enormous opportunity for the concrete industry to leverage the rapidly growing demand for durable, healthy and sustainable building materials.”
Holden headed Block USA for 10 years, past the company’s full integration into Cemex USA, and served an equal term as president of Couch Construction Materials, a ready mixed, block and building materials operator that was among Block USA predecessor businesses. Holden is currently vice president of Tampa-based Roebuck Consulting Group and Besser Co. board member.
