Navistar sets DEF aftertreatment for MaxxForce power

To maintain compliance with 2010 Environmental Protection Agency guidelines for heavy-duty diesel engine emissions—and prepare for EPA and U.S. Department of Transportation greenhouse gas rules in 2014 and 2017—Navistar International Corp. has scheduled rollout of a new clean engine solution, In-Cylinder Technology Plus (ICT+), for early next year.

System controls process water pH

The WatchDog wastewater treatment system is used for NPDES permit compliance at industrial sites, allowing personnel to easily control pH levels of wastewater discharge. Through the use of a non-hazardous compound, sodium bisulfate, pH levels are monitored and adjusted automatically with minimal employee involvement. The pH WatchDog allows ready mixed, precast concrete, asphalt and mining operations to achieve regulatory compliance, avoid fines and maintain worker safety.

ClearSpan shelters CTS cement stock

With increasing labor costs and quality control concerns, Rapid Set Cement-proprietor CTS Cement Manufacturing decided it needed a building to store raw materials at its Logansport, Ind., packaging operation. “We have unpredictable and rainy weather,” explains Production and Quality Manager Craig Kline. “Our raw materials were being stored outside and we needed a building to keep them dry and usable as they will not feed or flow when wet.”
