Heavy-duty work boots

Three “Old School Tough” work boot series—Troweler, Galvanizer, Groundbreaker—join the company’s Iron Age Footwear line. The outsoles of the Troweler feature slip-resistant tread on traditional lugs with extra stabilization for climbing and balancing on grating. The boots bear the Shift Kicker abrasion-resistant toe guard and new BootBed footbed.

ELE programs automatic compressive strength test machine control

The ADR Touch Control Pro features what system developers call the latest in materials testing lab technology. A key feature of new ADR-equipped machines is LAN connectivity for remote control via the PC-based app, known as ‘ELE Logger.’ It enables quality control technicians to initiate and monitor tests away from the lab, and service staff to conduct remote diagnostics.

Batch panel upgrades

Programmers have added features to the BatchTron models I, II and III, giving them a new look and enhanced usability. Many pages of setup choices make all models adaptable to different concrete plant configurations without extra customization. Users can work with combinations of aggregate bins and cement silos, dry plant or with mixer, and method of aggregate transfer—by conveyor, conveyor and holding hopper, or skip hoist.

Low dust polymeric paver sand

High-performance sand and sand-based product specialist Fairmount Santrol kicked off commercialization of Accel dust-preventing polymeric sand at the 2017 Hardscape North America trade show, staged at the Kentucky Exposition Center, Louisville. Manufactured with the company’s Prevent technology, Accel reduces on-site dust and haze up to 90 percent compared with traditional polymeric sand—enhancing air quality with an engineered, environmentally cleaner formula.

Excavator grading technology optimizes slab, bedding material estimates
