ISI adds tile-grade hermetic press to plant equipment offerings

Manufactured-concrete plant equipment specialist ISI has announced North American market availability of the Cassani Hermetic Press CCP 672 for cement-based tile production. Italy’s Cassani Carlo s.r.l. unveiled the machine at the Marmorac 2018 fair earlier this fall in Verona. The seven-station CCP 672 presses monolithic or two-layer square units, 80- or 100-mm thick. Mixer truck driving simulator lowers training costs, raises results

Company’s latest simulator for ready mixed producers, the 550ConcreteTruckplus, integrates three large screen, high-definition LED displays, netting a 225-degree field of view, with 5.1 surround sound. Drivers are presented dynamic graphics portraying pedestrians, construction crews plus concrete plant, street, road and job site settings.

Urethane, ceramic tiles withstand extreme wear in aggregate handling

Stone, sand and gravel can take their toll on material handling equipment for concrete production. The bare structure of transfer or storage components and vessels may not adequately resist wear, and even traditional steel or rubber protective liners can prove insufficient to withstand abrasion.

Crystallizing admixture seals stormwater storage structure

An unusually wet 2018 winter led to the official end of the worst drought in California’s history. But coastal Santa Monica, just west of Los Angeles, is maintaining water conservation targets for all residents, and undertaking several ambitious projects to advance supply self-sufficiency within the next few years.
