Hanley Wood and the owner of the Intermat construction trade shows have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop World of Concrete Europe.
The new event and partnership with S.E. Intermat are “another major step in the worldwide development of World of Concrete subsequent to the launch of World of Concrete India,” notes Hanley Wood Exhibitions Vice President Tom Cindric. “Our Las Vegas show is an annual event with international reach, and so it is only natural for us to get together with one of the construction industry’s leading exhibitions and unite our know-how as organizers.”
World of Concrete Europe will be piloted by Comexposium, a European leader in event management and organizer of Intermat Middle East, Abu Dhabi, January 14-16, 2014, and Intermat Paris, April 20-25, 2015. The latter sequences with two other global, construction equipment-heavy gatherings in three-year cycles: Bauma in Munich (April 2016) and ConExpo-Con/Agg (March 2014) in Las Vegas.
“Comexposium’s Construction business unit is delighted to have started up this international partnership which will contribute to the global reach of Intermat through one of its headline sectors, the Concrete industry,” notes Intermat Exhibition Director Maryvonne Lanoë.
S.E. Intermat comprises Comexposium, CISMA (Association of Equipment Manufacturers for Construction, Infrastructure, Steel and Handling Equipment Industries), and SEIMAT (Association of International Civil Engineering, Mining, Construction and Hoisting Equipment Industries).
