Effective this month, Mats Jungar is chief executive officer of Finnish precast concrete technology specialist Elematic Group Oy. He succeeds Leo Sandqvist, who joins the Elematic board as executive member and vice chairman.
Jungar has over 15 years’ international management experience from engineering and process industries to service businesses. For the past three years, he was CEO of Inspecta Group, joining it after serving as president of Kemira Water. Prior to that, he held senior vice president and finance director posts with Hiab Group/Cargotec Corp.
According to Elematic Chairman Eero Makkonen, the company sees strong, near-term growth in markets including Russia and the Middle East, where its position as precast factory supplier is well established. In addition, Elematic is looking at new market areas, e.g. China and India, where building construction continues to accelerate and markets invite the economy and efficiency of precast system methods.
Market development is proceeding while Elematic promotes its technology and operating philosophy under a new banner of Smart Evolution. “Elematic has been in the precast industry for over 50 years. Machinery and technological solutions have developed generation by generation to match the existing circumstances in all cultures. As a result, Elematic has developed the broadest solution portfolio in the industry—everything from machinery and automation software to project management and process design. All these pieces of expertise are called Smart Elements,” company officials note.
”Smart Elements are the different modules of Elematic’s portfolio, which help its customers to achieve Smart Evolution,” they add. “[The aim:] To give precasters an opportunity to renew their concepts and, most of all, achieve lifetime results through Smart Evolution. Elematic believes precasters are the best experts when it comes to their own businesses.
“The best match to achieve premium process excellence will be discovered by working together: Every time and for each and every customer—[a] cooperation process [called] Smart Match. It is about producing unique solutions from standardized building blocks, much like the precast building process,” officials conclude.
With its global presence in precast plant technology—underscored by equipment installations in 100 countries—Elematic derives more than 95 percent of $70 million in sales from export. The manufacturer has 200 employees, and sales offices in the U.S., Germany, France, Russia, and United Arab Emirates. A competitive representative network covers more than 20 countries.
