51-Year Spancrete Veteran Dugan Set To Retire

Spancrete CEO John Nagy has announced the retirement of Spancrete Machinery Corp. Vice President Joseph T. Dugan, effective May 7. He joined the company's Valders, Wis., precast/prestressed operation in 1959, proceeding from plant operations, field superintendent and general manager assignments to Precast Operations and Spancrete Machinery vice-president posts. Recognizing hollow core wall panel market opportunities in 1982, he oversaw Spancrete Machinery's development of 8-ft. wide plank and casting equipment. Dugan is a past Spancrete Manufacturers Association president and Operations Committee chairman, as well as a past Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute Plant Safety Committee chairman and PCI Erectors and Installation Committees member.
