A new, streamlined program enables suppliers to create and publish BIM-ready building-product models in both McGraw-Hill Construction Sweets and Autodesk Seek. As BIM [Building Information Modeling] becomes increasingly widespread throughout the construction industry--more than half of building professionals now use BIM or BIM-related tools, i.e., 75 percent more than in 2007, according to McGraw-Hill's 2009 Business Value of BIM Report--building product manufacturers (BPM) can compete only by incorporating BIM as part of their marketing programs, officials from McGraw-Hill and Autodesk contend.
