Allied groups ease concrete pavement design through Cloud-enabled platform

The American Concrete Pavement Association, Portland Cement Association and RMC Research & Education Foundation have created PavementDesigner.org, an online tool with features never before available to engineers and other stakeholders involved in vehicle-bearing concrete slabs.

Concreate, Corian, Cosentino demonstrate the graying of hard surfaces

Concreate LLC has added Titanium Black, Metal Grey and Bronze Grey to its charter selection of Natural Grey, Dark Grey and Mineral White lightweight floor planks and wall panels. A specialist in premium surface products, the Los Angeles company offers a tongue and groove flooring option packaged to rival the most pristine polished concrete or smooth poured concrete floor in design, ease of use and finish. Brick stacks up well against veneer stone, fiber cement in home exterior study

The Brick Industry Association has examined seven common home exterior products, finding that fired-clay brick costs about half as much as manufactured stone, and just a third more than fiber cement siding before considering lifetime maintenance costs. An updated BIA study, developed by RSMeans, compares the installed cost of total house construction for brick veneer over wood framing with the cost of adhered manufactured stone, stucco, wood shingle, plus vinyl, fiber cement or horizontal wood siding alternatives.

Rosetta Hardscapes recognizes licensees’ project vision, execution

During the Hardscapes of North America event in Louisville, Rosetta Hardscapes presented four hardscape unit manufacturers licensed by the company with its annual Rosetta Project Awards. Out of the more than 50 entries that were submitted for the program, projects from Midland Concrete Products, Oberfields, Brown’s Concrete Products, and R.I. Lampus Co. were recognized for their outstanding work in Paver and Slab, Retaining Wall, Commercial, and Residential applications, respectively.

ICON Expo 2018: Equipment, Knowledge Garden, Selling Conference

The National Concrete Masonry Association is finalizing the agenda for the International Concrete Exposition 2018: Machinery & Equipment Show. Staged at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, the February 9-10 program will feature 16 trade show hours, plus a host of new features for attendees. ICON Expo 2018 will be held in conjunction with NCMA Annual Convention, February 6-8, and the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute’s Annual Meeting, February 11-14.
